noirin-ni-riain

Seasonal Workshop with Noirin ni Riain, the well-known Irish singer, writer, teacher, theologian, and authority on Gregorian Chant in the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Cullies, Cavan on Saturday 1 October 2016 from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. on THE POETICS OF DEATH: A DAY OF EXPLORATION ON THE UNIVERSAL THEME OF DEATH AND DYING.  This day promises – through story, song and prayer – new perspectives of hope and love for each one of us in our encounter with our own passing over and that of our loved ones. And what more appropriate season to embrace this beautiful question than in the season of Autumn when nature all around us is also welcoming death and rebirth.  Throughout the day, participants will explore the spirituality of St. Therese of Lisieux (whose feast-day it will be) and learn from the great messages about prayer contained in her autobiography, “The Story of a Soul”.  Cost: €50 (including refreshments).  Advance booking necessary by ringing the Centre on 049 4375004.
