Change to Novena Schedule due to Storm Amy

Tonight’s Novena Mass and Prayers in honour of Our Lady of Hope scheduled for this (Friday) evening at 7:30p.m. in The Cathedral of Saints Patrick & Felim in Cavan have been postponed due to Storm Amy and will now take place on Monday 6 October 2025 at 7:30p.m.  Fr Gabriel Kelly, PP Kilmore and PP Ballintemple, will preach at the Mass which will mark the end of this year’s Novena.

The Blessing of Animals and Pets will go ahead tomorrow (Saturday) morning after the 10:00a.m. Mass in the Cathedral. 

The guest speaker at the 7:30p.m. Parish Vigil Mass (during which the Novena Prayers will be recited) in the Cathedral will be Jim Farrell from Letterkenny, Chair of Eco-Congregation Ireland.  The Mass will mark the conclusion of this year’s Season of Creation.

There will be a Eucharistic Healing Liturgy with the Novena Prayers on Sunday evening at 7:30p.m. in the Cathedral, led by Fr Seán Maguire, PP Corlough-Templeport.  The guest speaker will be Martina Purdy, former BBC NI Political Correspondent, Columnist with The Irish Catholic newspaper, and a Member of the Leadership Team of the Parish of St Michael the Archangel in Belfast.  All welcome.
