Finding Hope and Healing After Suicide Event – Cavan – 21 October 2023

HUGG, the national suicide bereavement charity which helps people bereaved by suicide, will host a free information event from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. in the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan H12F6Y7 on Saturday 21 October 2023.

What to expect

  • Doors open at 1:00p.m. with refreshments and people are welcome to talk with the HUGG team and volunteers and visit information stands.
  • At 1:30p.m., psychotherapist Una Holstead will discuss the impact of suicide loss and grief, highlighting ways families and communities can support young people to grieve and cope with their loss.
  • A HUGG Cavan support group member will share their lived experience of suicide loss, and what has helped them along their grief journey.
  • HUGG staff will be on hand to provide information on what suicide bereavement supports are available and local support services will be present on the day.
  • Coffee, cakes and compassionate conversations.

This event will benefit anyone affected or bereaved by suicide, in a personal or professional capacity whether you have experienced a bereavement this year or earlier in your life.
