Further Safetalk Opportunities

SafeTalk

There will further SAFETALK Training opportunities in the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre on Tuesday 15 March and Wednesday 13 April from 9:30a.m. to 1:00p.m.  on both days. SAFETALK is a half day training programme that prepares participants to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. These specific skills are called suicide alertness and are taught with the expectation that the person learning them will use them to help reduce suicide risk in their communities. Participants learn how to provide practical help to persons with thoughts of suicide in only a few hours. There is no cost for this training.  The closing date for receipt of applications is Tuesday 23 February for the March course and Tuesday 29 March for the April one. For further information, please contact Emer Mulligan, Resource Officer for Suicide Prevention, HSE Cavan-Monaghan Mental Health Services by email: [email protected] or by telephone: 086 1717563
