Kilmore Care of Creation Group Visits The Organic Centre, Rossinver
KILMORE CARE OF CREATION
Inspired by LAUDATO SI’, the Encyclical Letter written by Pope Francis ON CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME
Everyone’s talents and involvement are needed in caring for creation! (LS14)
The Kilmore Care of Creation Group celebrated its first year as an established environmental group by visiting ‘The Organic Centre’ in Rossinver. Situated in Ireland’s hidden heartlands in County Leitrim, it is well known for its close proximity to the Wild Atlantic Way, Fowley Falls and Lough Melvin.
At the Group’s request, the Organic Centre’s Projects Coordinator, Jimmy White, delivered a bespoke and engaging educational tour and interactive composting workshop. We had the opportunity to increase our skills and knowledge on best practice and current issues in relation to climate change, biodiversity, ecosystems and food security. Jimmy has the wonderful ability to deliver a customised interactive teaching and learning approach that combines academia together with practical knowledge and advice through the art of storytelling. We would like to share some of the lovely footage taken on our exploration of the Organic Centre’s wonderful gardens and woodlands and highly recommend you visit for an awe-inspiring day out. Check out their website at www.theorganiccentre.ie
The Kilmore Care of Creation Group is currently making preparations for the upcoming Season of Creation celebrations which run from 1st September to 4th October 2022. For more information check out our Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/Laudato-Si-Kilmore-Care-of-Creation-112336868150389
