Ego sum resurrectio et vita. Qui credit in me et si mortuus fuerit vivet. Et omnis qui vivit et credit in me non morietur in aeternum.

God our Father, you reward all who believe in you.
May your servant, Pope-Emeritus Benedict XVI,
who faithfully served in the footsteps of Saint Peter as shepherd of your Church
rejoice with you now for ever in the eternal joy of heaven
as the reward of his ministry and work in your name.
We ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
