ADDITIONAL PROJECT
As a school, you can enter a group project for a chance to win the Carlos Acutis Trophy.
Blessed Carlos Acutis (1991-2006) seemed to have a special love for God from a young age, eventhough his parents were not especially devout. His mother said that before Carlo was born, she went to Mass only for her First Holy Communion, her Confirmation, and her wedding. As a young child, Carlo loved to pray. He was known for defending kids at school who got picked on, especially disabled kids. he loved playing video games and his console of choice was a PlayStation or possibly a PS2 which was released in 2000 when Carlo was aged nine. He passed away at the age of 15 having being diagnosed with leukaemia. He was declared ‘Blessed’ by the Church in 2020 with the approval of Pope Francis/
The group project involves the completion of a 1,500 to 3,000 word case study on a saint of your choice. This can be a class project or a selection of first year students from your school who wish to get involved.
